ROLE: UX/UI design
CHALLENGE: Explore an app design to assist users in establishing an optimal morning routine.
DISCOVERY: Mindmapping was used to visualize and organize possible motivations, activities, and obstacles around establishing morning routines. A general competitor analysis also helped to determine the minimum viable product for the app.
IMPLEMENTATION: A combination of wireframes with minimal content and flowcharts with basic interactions proved more effective in the review and discussion process than separate wireframes and user flows.
RESULT: An initial prototype was designed with features to help increase discipline, improve productivity, and elevate mood. The user could choose a celebrity routine, a predesigned, themed program, or customize his or her own routine. Additional functionality included goal and reward tracking, social network sharing /buddy systems, and popularity incentives.
